For the first time in the history of INS Shivaji (premier technical training institute of the Indian Navy), a foreign Naval officer has topped the course. Lieutenant Commander Kaosar Rashid of Bangladesh Navy topped the 63rd Marine Engineering Specialisation course, securing 81.95 % marks. In all, 30 Indian Naval, two Coast Guard and 12 foreign Naval officers passed out from the Centre of Marine Engineering Technology after successful culmination of 79 weeks of professional training.
