One more Bangladeshi Blogger coming up

cf7a9694bce24d2c3b58bef558f55cc2.jpgMy 18 months old son finds my PC a desirable place to hang around. Whenever he finds a chance, runs towards the chair, sits after couple of attempts and starts pushing the keyboards. He already figured out that mouse has a pointer, so he moves the devise all the way around.229d6a00704412b2a002b5c37d2157f0.jpg7b696cf3e13708eac8bcb5cc949572f0.jpg7622b65067ffdd430646d2cb8d2b24b2.jpg

There is a country in Asia; here teachers provoke students in destroying public properties

One Point not to be taken for granted, by ALL three sectors in dispute- DO NOT abuse you're freedom !!!!

1. Students should really stick to their books and not accelerate any dispute that would jeopardize the future of the country and its people's livelihood. Or explode into life threatening situations for any and all.

2. The Press should NOT dramatize news with front page gore & galore inorder to provoke the general public into a frenzy

3. The Army and Police should exercise more wit and less muscle even if the situation desires immediate control and clap down

Now, I ask you all to ponder on a few post action/events and thoughts - who's action was most damaging? Landing the entire country in this precarious and uncertain times!

Was it the junior Army personnel who had abused his power? Was it the rioting by the so called 'career' students who burnt down public properties like cars , buses and buildings that led to a  curfew which not only stopped the country, but all caused shortage of food and resources for people to meet their daily needs?

This government is doing a great job; bickering over small issues  would shade the big picture for all of us. I really can not understand why after all that we have witnessed and seen; our inability to protest peacefully and lawfully evades even the so called educated next generation, i.e. university students! Are they really deserving to be in University or these
'career students just political pawns?

What the current government is doing is colossal by any account and that too with nature and infrastructure all standing in its path as huge obstacles. Yet instead of joining hands and helping every way we can, we take an incident small or big, that could have been easily handled, to such a level that it ends up locking ourselves (innocent civilians) indoors and paralyzing the entire country.

The Army Chief, Chief Advisors - all made statements to bring fair justice to the incident BUT no, our so called 'gene pool', 'future generation' decided to take it in their hands and riot in the streets of Dhaka. Shame on all of you ! What hopes your parents had in you have faded into the darkness that has become a daily way of life for Bangladeshi. The government needs to round up all the culprit teachers who have led this protest (destroyed property) and lock them up like their mentors who are already in jail counting the days behind bars. Is Bangladesh a unique one, where the university teachers teach and provoke students to destroy public properties?

As a common person of Bangladesh, with no political clout or preference or affiliation but love for safety and peace; I ask all PRO Bangladeshi to express your wants and rights for a safe and peaceful society.

Tiger came, Tiger came................ashlo - Curfew imposed

It is reality. Bangladesh is heading towards another military regime. Curfew has been announced. The statement says something like this - indefinite curfew will take place in six divisional headquarters of Bangladesh starting from 8:00pm tonight (22 August 2007 ) in an effort to curb the ongoing violence across the country.

The learning from history is that no one learns from it.

Different time.
Different color.
Different agenda.
Different ballgame.
One thing in common though – general people trying to earn a decent living suffer the most.

Is August a cursed month for Bangladesh?

Police fired rubber bullets and tear gas canisters at Dhaka University students following an incident during a football match, where Army personal assaulted three students. Police vehicles with water cannons patrolled the campus, firing tear gas canisters and hot water at the demonstrators. Over 130 students and several policemen were injured in the confrontations. The acting vice chancellor of the university, AFM Yusuf Haider, and the proctor Aka Firowz Ahmed were also injured in police action that lasted the whole night.

Thousands of students rallied last night demanding removal of an army camp from the campus and an apology from the Army for beating up students. The students also called strike at Dhaka University for an indefinite period to protest this inhuman behaviour.

This morning, students started protesting again with only two justifiable demands - apology and removal of Army camp from the campus.

Why is August? Why the Army or any anther forces holding weapons and grenades do not resist them from attacking the innocents in August?

If the students are willing to remain calm only if the authority meets two demands, why delay?

It is the culprits’ good luck that the students did not ask the Army to hand over the blamed ones to them.

Pro-Bangladeshi on - Sigma Huda

"Now this is really insulting ... both to the people of B'desh and Pope John Paul II Sigma Huda awarded 'Pope John Paul II Wellspring of Freedom Award.

What next, Nazmul Huda getting the Nobel Prize? Anyone remotely connected with The Institute of Religion and Public Policy (Based in DC) should get a reality check. Especially its President Joseph K Grieboski, awarding and commenting so highly of a common thief - Sigma Huda of the Huda Klang. For me, all this proves or rather disproves the actually credibility of such an
Institute or organization.

What 'unceasing work' of defending human rights has she done, other than stealing from the people of Bangladesh to fatten her own wallet, using her position to get her way?. She, of all people, being a lawyer took advance of her husband political pull to get what she deemed as her God given right to exploit. So Mr. Grieboski...crawl back under the stone you came from. And let the people of B'desh decide honorable Sigma Huda's fate under the law Lastly, simple line for all of those pseudo intellectual, blind folded, self righteous pricks ...Get your facts right!!!"

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding leader of Bangladesh. He was a true rabble-rousing leader. - Was assassinated by a group of 'wrongly motivated' Army officers on this day. The year - 1975. His family members, except two daughters were not speared from the brutality. The incident occurred just four years after the man attained freedom for the Bangladeshis, including his murderers.

Bangladeshis are such an unfortunate nation; for long 21 years, Bangabandhu's murder trails had been barred by Indemnity Ordinance. Yes. By Indemnity Ordinance by his fellow Bangladeshis. Killers of the man, who scarified his life for the land and the people, were awarded foreign postings. Much to the disgrace, they represented Bangladesh there.

Bangabandhu was successful in his second last mission - he brought freedom to the land. He failed; it seems, during re-building the nation, which was his last assignment. Did he fail? Starting from scratch, he had to deal with countless problems of the war ravaged Bangladesh. He got surrounded by sick people, who only were selfish and nothing else. They, including his sons, wanted personnel gain and they did. The country suffered, the people suffered, the land suffered.

Much tasks were ahead after the liberation. Restoring law and order, rehabilitating the refugees, restoring infrastructure, maintaining foreign relations - all were in the list. All had to be done by Bangabandhu? What did the others do, who criticize him till this day but could not do any single task successfully back than?

We are a nation, which killed the father to attain political gain. Morally, do we have any ground to ask for a prosperous and peaceful future?

I think not.

Team-up

The time proclaims, this is not the time about winning or losing. It is about achieving the best possible outcome. Most / if not all, must realize, IT IS the time to stop abusing opponents and start working together as long as national interest is in stake. Making a compromise surely will save a lot of stress, a lot of time and a lot of energy.

We are stronger when we all team-up and fight the odds.

Rangs Bhabon

"Really? Did the Rangs Bhaban Fiasco (delayed or pre-mature action) really be justified in today's Bangladesh? Why divert our limited resources and energies in chopping down buildings while floods and cost of living is going beyond any rescue or reach.

These are all minutiae ...small trivial things, in front of the more bigger than life issues...survival of a country not just individuals! Again I CALL ALL PRO BANGLADESHI  to ask the CA to cut the Serpent's head off...cleanly and swiftly. Dont let your officials finger the underlings...they can be managed later, in due process.

What happened with Rangs Bhaban, leaves a bitter taste...the government should have taken over the building, rent it out during this money crunch period in Bangladesh. Later decide to demolish it all the way down (not just up to 6 floors) in order to pave a major road connection to Tejgoan Industrial Road and Dhaka Commercial District. And why give them only 24 hours, and cut off the utilities? That was very immature of whomever was  responsible for the action.

Now we need tenders for demolishing the building and not to mention costing a pretty penny? The government and army can not afford to lose popular support, They need to remind themselves that Bangladeshis tend to be great sympathizers, born with a soft heart but thick skull that hides a tongue that is split at the ends ...ready to jump ship at the first call. And so with such callous and improper action in an untimely period will fuel counter-productive aspirations and  diminish popular support for the government.

Come on, FOCUS....not foul (substitute with another 4 letter word it suits) us."

DO AS I SAY NOT DO AS I DO - still continuing?

"That's what ALL the previous government officials and leaders decreed once again...the corrupt stay above the law...loop holes or concession made to them, which is not there for the average man. I recall reading about some poor old farmer jailed for being a defaulter for few hundred taka's, and the Army Chief paid for in order to secure a release/pardon. Yet, our most recent x-PM and x-FM get away with, again?

What next? Obaidul Quader, Amanullah, Abbas, Dulu, Sarwar...all get off the hook? ISNT this setting precedence to all other court cases that follow? Now, I know its not that simple ...each case has its individual definitions but one leads to another...doesn’t it?

Drastic times need drastic measures...chop the serpents head off! Another question to ask ourselves...Is our SC under political influence still...giving bail to Hasina...when 'other' others stay in jail without bail (not that they don’t deserve to).........but is there two laws and a parallel one still thriving?

Truth be told, why is the CA and his government allowing foreign representation for Hasina. What rights do these corrupt leaders deserve when they have stolen millions and destroyed dreams of the Bangladeshis.

The government needs funds to fight this years floods, money that these rotten politicians stole from the public, businessmen who fatten their bank accounts by increase daily essentials beyond the common man's reach...Get Them...Dont spare them.

So calling all PRO Bangladeshi...Do say I do and say as I Say...its for our people, our country and definitely not theirs. Let’s change this English idiom to what is right from what was wrong!!!!!!!!! Continue to demand true justice from the Government. Support the last hope we have. The current govt. has huge task ahead and need our support and respect. Do your part."
